’39 Hudson 112 Roadster project

Not for the beginner, but will suit the restorer who knows what they are doing or has help that knows panelwork.

I have my panel beaters licence, so I know this is very fixable.

This is a smashed-up roaster body I saved from a gully many years ago, and was about to be squashed by a bulldozer making a dam

It comes with a previously historic rego’d ’39 sedan (2009) in complete and very good condition with ‘46 motor, as the donor base for the project.

Unfortunately, I can’t vouch for the engine condition in the sedan, albeit it was running back then.

Passenger side quarter panel on roadster body is pushed-in but very repairable, and both roadster doors in similar state, but again fixable.

The sedan is also riding on a strengthened roadster chassis (heavy x-member).

If you want to save this good sedan and make use of it, I can also offer another (good) cut & shut sedan body plus doors that are perfect for this project.

Most of the special fitment bits for the roadster are there. Also, all of our ’39 spares and parts will go with this sale.

Located at The Oaks NSW–2 hrs south of Sydney. Please, no time wasters or tyre kickers. Email me for photo’s.

$8500. Brad Martin 0424 077 237. brad.martin@mset.com.au

Distributors and Parts

If you need any parts go to and support club members Steven Fripp on 0477 090 874 or Jeffery Fripp on 0409 830 203 outside business hours. This goes without saying.

For the older cars there is an alternative in Adelaide that I would highly recommend - BCS Remanufactured Distributors. Check him out on the internet or ring on 0438 885 347

Dave has a very large collection of used distributors he rebuilds or uses for parts, NOS points/caps/rotas/condensers and most other electrical items.

He can also make, fit and test electronic kits on his several Sun testers. Dave is retired, works from home and is extremely busy. I called in to get some parts for my 1924 Hudson and walked away with several of everything I wanted. He even had used distributors for the 1924 Delco and the later American Bosch.

He mentioned that his father in law once had a lot of Hudson cars. On asking the obvious, I found out that he was Ron O’Connell’s son in law. Ron and his wife Joy were well known to most Hudson owners and attended many national rallies.

Hope this contact info is helpful, Regards, Barry Sweetman

For sale

1976 Rambler Matador sedan best described as a true survivor, being 99% original. Currently on club plates, it is a big powerful comfortable reliable classic that has no trouble keeping up with modern traffic. There is a small rust bubble on the lower edge of the driver door but otherwise a beautifully sound body. The electric windows are a bit sporadic at times. It has under dash air con fitted when delivered new which still works perfectly. I am offering to club members first because I don't want to see it go to the hot rodders. Inspection and test drive welcome. Asking $12,500.00. Located in Yass NSW. George Keats 0262261332   georgekeats@bigpond.com  More photos and info are available if required
